One of a network of over 75 provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the North West Local Health Integration Network, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
We are currently seeking a 1 FTE RPN (Telemedicine/Footcare), who as valued member of the Community Health Centres’ team will support and expand the telemedicine program which includes supporting clinical events within the organization. Additionally, they will provide foot care services and assist in the delivery of primary care services to the clients we serve with a strong emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, education and empowerment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Thorough knowledge and proficiency in current nursing procedures, nursing assessment, physical assessments and treatment measures.
- Experience and training in wound care considered an asset.
- Certification in Basic and Advanced Foot Care is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate with others.
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation and writing skills.
- Creative, innovative and ability to problem solve issues as they arise.
- Demonstrated experience working with physicians and other allied healthcare professionals.
- Basic understanding of the field of telemedicine.
- Experience working within the health care setting as well as flexibility to respond to fluctuating workload and changing environment.
- Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
- Licensed and registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Bilingualism is considered an asset.
