Local & Immediate Care
The nurse and nurse practitioner will see clients on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is necessary and you need to be a client of NorWest Community Health Centres. Services are free with a valid Ontario Health Card. Our clinic in Thunder Bay is one of the few to be open on Saturday and Sunday.
We provide care for:
- Coughs and cold
- Ear ache
- Sore throat
- Pregnancy testing
- Sexual health
- Birth control
- Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) and HIV testing
- Stitches and suture removal (for minor cuts)(By Appointment only)
- Hepatitis and tuberculosis (TB) testing (By Appointment only)
Please note: These clinics are not for medical emergencies. Anyone with a life-threatening illness or injury should go directly to the closest emergency department or call 911.
