Are you a socially-minded professional looking to further your leadership experience in a progressive organization rooted in enhancing equity and access? Come and join the team at NorWest Community Health Centres as we are seeking a Coordinator for the Rapid Access Addictions Medicine Clinic.
One of a network of over 75 provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by the Ministry of Health and the North West Local Health Integration Network, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
The RAAM Coordinator is charged with the responsibility for providing leadership and guidance to the local RAAM Clinics team and partner providers, including St. Joseph’s Care Group, Thunder Bay Counselling, Dilico Anishinabek Family Care, and People Advocating for Change through empowerment. To succeed, in this role, the ability to manage complex projects involving multiple agencies and stakeholders is necessary.
A degree in a clinical-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the position with a minimum of three years’ management and leadership experience is preferred.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of addictions, harm reduction, mental health and health complexities. We are seeking someone with awareness of and sensitivity to health issues particularly within populations who face barriers to accessing care such as the under housed, living with mental health challenges or diagnoses, current or past substance use, complex health histories, 2SLGBTQI+, newcomers, and non-insured. Awareness of sociocultural issues is required to be part of the team at NWCHCs.
You must have a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and ability to travel to multiple work locations.
