Digital Skills for Older Adults (at TBPL)

June 23 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Technology changes fast, but you do not have to figure it out alone. Join us at the Thunder Bay Public Library for a 10-session, hands-on class designed to help you build digital confidence. Whether you want to safely manage your banking, keep in touch with family, or just figure out why your phone is running slow, we are here to help.

In this relaxed, step-by-step program, you will learn how to:

  • Use Your Device: Master the basics of your smartphone or tablet, adjust settings for easier reading, and organize your photos.

  • Stay Safe Online: Spot fake text messages, avoid scams, and protect your passwords.

  • Use Daily Apps: Safely tap to pay, navigate health portals, and borrow free library books right on your device.

  • Explore New Tech: Learn about helpful smart home setups and simple AI tools, plus get a special hands-on chance to try the Meta Quest 3S Mixed Reality headset!

When: Tuesdays, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

  • April: 7, 14, 21

  • May: 5, 12, 19, 26

  • June: 9, 16, 23

Technology should work for you. By the end of this spring, you will know how to use your devices safely, easily, and with complete peace of mind.
