Walk-in Clinics
Local & Immediate Care
The nurse and nurse practitioner will see clients on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is necessary and you do not need to be a client of NorWest Community Health Centres. Services are free with a valid Ontario Health Card. Our clinic in Thunder Bay is one of few open on Saturday and Sunday.
Please note: These clinics are not for medical emergencies. Anyone with a life-threatening illness or injury should go directly to the closest emergency department or call 911. Masks are required when entering the centre. If you do not have a mask, we can provide one for you.
We provide care for:
- Coughs and cold
- Fever
- Ear ache
- Sore throat
- Infection
- Pregnancy testing
- Sexual health
- Birth control
- Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) and HIV testing
- Stitches and suture removal (for minor cuts)
- Hepatitis and tuberculosis (TB) testing

Norwest Community Health Centres walk-in clinic is by drop in only.
Please be advised long wait times can be expected and controlled substances cannot be prescribed or refilled through the walk-in. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
Thunder Bay Main Site
Monday – Thursday: 4:00pm – 8:00pm
Friday: 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am – 3:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am – 3:00pm
Limbrick Site (For Limbrick Residences/Neighbourhood Only)
Wednesday: 1:30pm – 4:00pm
