Therapy

Mental health is the way you feel, think and act about yourself and the world around you. Like your physical health, taking care of your mental health is an important part of your overall wellbeing. Taking care of your mental health can help you enjoy life and deal with stress in positive ways.

NorWest Community Health Centres (NorWest CHC) has many services to support you with your mental health, including one-to-one therapy, peer support groups, workshops and group programs.

Therapy is a safe space to talk about your experiences and feelings, without judgement, with qualified professionals such as Registered Social Workers and Registered Psychotherapists. Therapists work with you on your goals, and can help you learn new skills, tools and ways of coping with challenges such as:

  • depression
  • anxiety
  • grief and loss
  • life experiences
  • relationships

Therapy services are available to rostered clients of NorWest CHC. Clients of Aurora Family Health, Superior Family Health and Port Arthur Family Health Centre may also access services through the Team Care program by referral from their primary health care provider.
